CEP Logo Design Competition

College of Emergency Physician (CEP) is proud to announce a LOGO DESIGN COMPETITION.  We would like to invite any individuals to take part in this competition. The logo should capture this key message: Malaysia, emergency medicine
The winning design will become the official logo for College of Emergency Physician Malaysia.
CLOSING DATE: 30th September 2019 (midnight)

WHO CAN ENTER?

The competition is open to any one on an individual basis. Contestants can submit multiple entries.

GUIDELINES:

i. Entry is presented on A4 paper with dimensions of 297mm (width) x 210mm (height), equivalent to 3500pixel x 2400pixel and toal volume of no more than 10MB
ii. A color logo with one maximum dimension of mm, equivalent to 1800pixel
iii. Each entry uses no more than 5 colors
iv. Entries must bear no signatures or any personal signals.
v. Entries must be submitted as a JPEG/PDF/WORD and should be no larger in total than 10Mb.
The followings are not accepted:
i. automatically generated by computer
ii. completed by third parties or in bulk
iii. illegible
iv. have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with
v. incomplete
The followings are not allowed:
i. made on behalf of another person
ii. joint submissions by two or more persons
iii. made by or on behalf of a partnership or company or other body corporate

SUBMISSION:

An entry form  must also be completed, signed by you and submitted by you alongside each design entry. Each form entry signed by you will contain an acknowledgement that your entry is:
i. exclusively your own work and does not comprise or incorporate any copyright or other intellectual property rights owned by any other person;
ii. is not defamatory or immoral; and
iii. does not infringe any third party rights and/or any agreements to which you are a party.

PRIZES

Only one (1) winner will receive the prize. The prize comprises:
i. Price money RM500.00
ii. Certificate from CEP
The winner will be announced during EMAS 2019.
The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf. CEP does not accept any responsibility if you are unable to take up the prize.

OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.   Neither the CEP nor any of its employees, agents or representatives will be responsible for the non-receipt and/or non-inclusion of entries in the competition as a result of being lost, late, illegible, incomplete, invalid, or because of technical failures or otherwise.
2. CEP reserves the right to cancel, alter and/or amend the competition at any stage if deemed necessary in its own opinion and entirely at its own discretion, or if any circumstances arise outside of the CEP control.
3. Competition entries cannot be returned by the CEP.
4. There is no limit on the number of entries an individual can submit.
5. There is no purchase necessary by you to enter the competition and there is no charge for submitting an entry.
6. CEP reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this competition without prior notice in the event of circumstances arising beyond its control that makes it necessary to do so.
7. CEP reserves the right to disqualify any person it finds, in its sole discretion, to be tampering with the operation of the competition, or to be acting in breach of these terms and conditions and/or in any way that is inconsistent with the spirit of the competition.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

1. By submitting your competition entry and any accompanying material, you agree that, in the event that you are the winner of the competition, you hereby (with effect from the date of submission of your competition entry):
i. assign to CEP all your intellectual property rights with full title guarantee; and
ii. waive all moral rights,
in and to your competition entry and otherwise arising in connection with your entry to which you are or at any time in the future may be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.
2. If you are the winner of the competition, you agree that, if requested by CEP, you will take such steps and actions (including, but not limited, the signing of relevant documents) as CEP may reasonably request in order to ensure that the Promoter receives the full benefit of the assignation set out in paragraph 8.1 of these terms and conditions.
3. By submitting a competition entry, you represent, warrant and undertake to the Promoter that your entry:
i. is exclusively your own work and does not comprise or incorporate any copyright or other intellectual property rights owned by any other person;
ii. is not defamatory or immoral; and
iii. does not infringe any third party rights and/or any agreements to which you are a party.
4. Should you be the winner of the competition, you agree that CEP may use your name, image and town or county of residence to announce the winner of this competition and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes.
